Sherry Johnson, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

A native of north Louisiana, Sherry  joined the ABC family in April 2022. Sherry earned a Master of Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a licensed  Speech-Language Pathologist and holds a  Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA). 

 

Sherry has many years of experience working with pediatrics, having previously served as a speech-language pathologist in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.  She also served on the EBR Parish Pupil Appraisal Services completing speech-language evaluations to children of all ages for thirteen years. Sherry came to ABC with experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), articulation and phonology disorders, fluency disorders, developmental delays, reading/language difficulties, Dyslexia, and phonological processing disorders.  Sherry has special interests in the areas of articulation, fluency, language, and reading comprehension. 

 

Sherry is a firm believer that speech therapy should be a positive, fun, and purposeful experience so that all children can reach their maximum potential.  She goes out of her way to create a respectful and inviting environment for every single one of her patients. 

 

In her free time, Sherry enjoys spending time with her grandsons, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling.
