Alexa Mollica,  M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
 

  

Alexa Mollica joined the Access to Better Communication team in May of 2023. She grew up in Northeast Ohio but moved to Baton Rouge two years ago. She double majored at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, earning Bachelor of .Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Alexa completed her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio. Alexa currently holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Alexa has clinical experience treating early language and speech development, articulation, childhood apraxia of speech, augmentative alternative communication and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also has experience with adult aphasia, voice and swallowing services. She has a special interest in preliteracy skills and literacy enrichment.

Alexa's favorite thing about her job is getting to see her clients gain tools to more confidently and independently navigate their world. She loves to empower her clients' confidence and see their personalities grow. 


When not working, Alexa is usually playing with and/or spoiling her dog, Margo. She enjoys painting and going for walks in her spare time.
