Shannon is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ​She served as the Front Desk Manager at ABC from June 2022 through June 2025.  She then advanced to the position as Insurance/Billing Specialist in June 2025 and is currently responsible for overseeing patient billing, verification of benefits, insurance authorizations, filing insurance claims, and resolving insurance issues.  Shannon is a wonderful resource about anything and everything related to insurance benefits. Additionally, she supervises our entire administrative staff on a daily basis and is the one to make sure ABC runs smoothly.

Shannon found her calling to work with children when she began working in the front office at her daughter’s daycare. 

Shannon earned a diploma in Child Care Management from Penn Foster in 2010 and another in Child Development from Louisiana Technical College in 2011.

Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years, Rusty, and their daughter, Carley, who is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. Shannon also enjoys LSU Baseball,  crafting, reading, and going on adventures with her mom and sisters. 

 

Shannon enjoys working at ABC because of the family atmosphere and the love that our speech-language pathologists show to their patients.
