Karen is a highly skilled career professional with more than 30 years of medical field experience.  She has experience in performing research, writing policies and procedures, administration, nursing supervision, processing medical insurance benefits, working within multiple healthcare operating systems, case management and auditing, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Google Meet.  

 

Karen's career began by completing a  B.S. degree in Nursing with Honors at Southern University.  She has a history of working as a nurse, a nursing supervisor, a case manager and quality assurance supervisor, and, most recently, as a Senior Case Manager for United Healthcare.

Karen supports our patients and their families in all aspects of our billing system, insurance processing, patient care coordination, and overall general front office duties.  She is responsible for developing proficiency operating our Electronic Medical Records system,, verifying insurance benefits, tracking and obtaining insurance authorizations, setting up and processing/repairing any insurance denials or delays.

When not at work, Karen enjoys spending time with family.
